이제 더이상 지도의 끝은 없다 - 시코쿠, 아와지 라이딩 (오는길) [There are no more ends of my map - Shikoku & Awaji riding (Return)]

어느 곳이나 아침은 눈부시다. 어젯밤의 호객꾼들은 다 어디로 갔는지, 상쾌한 아침햇살이 나를 반기니 달리고 싶은 마음이 용솟음친다. 왔던 길로 돌아가는 것도 좋겠지만, 아와지를 거쳐 동북쪽으로 가는 길을 택하기로 했다. 수중에 남은 돈은 2천엔 남짓, 시코쿠에서 아와지로 넘어가는 고속도로는 페리가 없으니 900엔을 부담하고 고속도로를 이용해 보고, 아와지에서 고베로 넘어갈 때는 페리를 이용하기로 마음먹었다. 그러면 돈이 빠듯하게 맞는다.

Morning sun shines wherever I come, which impress me to riding. Using the same ferry is also good but want to ride another, so choose east bound passing Awaji island. Now I have 2,000 yen and coins, which may be fit to cross Shikoku-Awaji highway (900 yen) and Awaji-Kobe ferry (around 850 yen, I remember).

어젯밤에 충분한 목욕이 컨디션을 회복했는데, 투숙시 예약을 해야 준다는 아침식사는 그냥 생략하고 6시반 경에 다시 출발한다.

Good condition due to get up 5 am and bath, but cannot eat the breakfast because I neglect the sign that a hotel guest who wants to eat breakfast must reserve. Just start riding at 6 am.

어제 조금 실망을 한 터라 사누끼시를 관통해서 동진하지만 그다지 우동을 먹고 싶지는 않다. 단지 우동학교나 유명한 곳이 있다면 가다가 간판이나 보자는 생각으로 달려간다. 일요일 새벽의 도로는 아무런 장애가 없어 복잡치 않은 도심은 고속으로 지나가 상쾌하다.

Penetrate the middle of Sanuki city, though still want to eat Udon but remember the disappointment of yesterday's. Merely want to see the Udon school or famous shops, but too early. Riding itself is really cool due to Sunday morning, nobody and few cars.

7시에 연다는 우동집에 끌려 찾다가 결국 실패하고 계속 태양을 쫒아 달린다. 해변가 히가시카가와시로 연결되는 길은 경관도 좋고 상쾌하기 이를데 없다. 산과 어우러진 바다의 풍경을 눈에 담으며 연신 달려가다 보니 만화 주인공 이름이기도 한 나루토시가 보이고 저 멀리 아와지가 보인다.

Suddenly see the Udon shop sign which opens at 7 am, but finally failed to visit that and just riding northeast following the rising sun. Now approaching Higashi-kagawa city, really cool beach road which has good view. Especially I can enjoy the mountains and seashore together. And then approach Naruto city, which is the name of a character of famous Japanese animation also.

지도에서 본 나루토 스카이라인이라는 드라이빙 코스를 올라간다. 오, 여태 레인보우 로드니 스카이라인이니 하는 많은 곳에 방문했으나 이 곳처럼 멋진 곳은 처음이다. 뻥 좀 섞어서 노르웨이 아틀랜틱 로드가 부럽지 않은 산과 산을 연결한 도로이다. 날씨가 나쁘거나 겨울에는 경사가 높아서 오기 어려운 이 곳을 오늘 오게 되어 영광이다.

Though there is no. 11 road straight to the junction point to highway, I choose the detour following the coast, called Naruto Skyline. What a wonderful scenery!! May be comparable with Norwegian Atlantic road. (Talk too big, huh?^^) This road connects the mountains, then sometimes 10% slopes are exist, which looks dangerous in winter time or rainy day. What a fortunate that I can access and see the good one in here!

저 앞에 오늘 건너갈 아와지대교가 보인다. 드디어 내 오토바이로 고속도로를 타게 되는가 하는 설레임과 아까운 900엔을 함께 생각하면서 톨게이트로 진입한다.

After rounding the observatory of Awaji-Naruto big bridge, at last, I enter the highway for the first time using my motorcycle. (Japanese rule to ride moto in the highway is only over 125cc.) Feel little expensive, but admire the good experience.

오, 측풍이 장난이 아니다. 바닷바람을 몸으로 느끼면서, 맞은편에서 여유있게 달리는 대배기량 오토바이 투어팀을 보면서 왜 300키로가 넘는 무거운 대배기량 오토바이들을 타는가 하는 문제의 답을 생각해보게 되었다. 그것도 잠시, 긴장하며 건넌 다리를 뒤로 보면서 휴게소에서 사진을 담는다.

Uaaah, the flank wind makes me crazy and focus. Ride across the big bridge with feeling sea wind. I recognize why the big motos have weight (Usually more than 300kgs when more than 750cc)... for stability. After a few minutes, I arrive the other side of bridge, the resting place in Awaji island. Pick the photos in the observatory.

아와지는 지난번에 와 본적이 있는데, 이번에는 그때 못타 보았던 서쪽 연안을 따라 달리기로 했다. 길도 해변도 꽤 괜찮고 차도 없어서 달리기도 좋다. 마침 만난 우체국에서 돈을 좀 인출하고 나니 마음도 놓인다. 갑자기 느려지기도 하는데, 어제부터 마쯔리를 준비하는 사람들을 꽤 많이 봤는데 오늘은 아예 길을 편도 통제하고 마츠리 행렬들을 들여간다. 아마 내일이 체육의 날 휴일인지라 일제히 학교 운동회나 마츠리들을 하는 모양이다.

I visited Awaji island once, driving the east coast. Today the west coast is chosen, looks good and not many cars. Can withdraw some money on the first post office on the road, which makes me little relieve. There are sudden slowdown on the road due to Matsuri parade, which were seen several times yesterday. Maybe because tomorrow is holiday, Health and Sport Day, Matsuri and school sports are held in everywhere.

달리고 달려 아와지 북쪽의 아카시대교 남단에 도착했다. 여기서부터는 아는 길이다 생각이 드니 마음도 놓이는데, 뭔가 먹을게 없나 휴게소에 들어가보니 뭐 별거 없고 여기 특산이라는 멸치 덮밥이 있다. 끼니를 때운다는 생각으로 먹긴 했는데, 만족감은 좀 적어도 맛은 괜찮은 편이다.

Run, run and running to arrive the northern bound of Awaji island, the resting place in southern Akashi big bridge. Now I arrive the known road then start to feel hungry. Enter the resting place to search for eating stuff, but cannot find anything interesting. Final choice is the boiled rice with boiled anchovies. Looks mild but sourced inside.

자, 이제 페리를 타고 고베로 넘어가볼까... 하고 가 봤더니 왠걸, 올해 4월에 영업을 종료했단다...^^;; 지금은 사람과 자전거가 탈 수 있는 고속 페리만 운영한다는 말을 듣고서 결국 고속도로를 다시 한번 이용하기로 했다. 돈 안 뽑았으면 어쩔 뻔했나, 피같은 1,850엔이 사용되는 순간이지만, 다시 한번 건너는 길이지만 차로 건널 때와는 다른 횡풍의 압력이 자연스럽게 다리에 힘을 주고 핸들을 잡고 앞을 주시하게 한다.

OK, then go to the ferry terminal... but find they stop service for motos at this April, remain only for passengers and bicycles^^;; What can I choose, only riding to highway. What an another fortunate case that I withdraw money to pay 1,850 yen... OH MY MONEY!! I again feel the tail and frank wind which strike my motorcycle heavily, but bit accustomed to that enough not to grasp the throttle strong.

고베로 넘어와서는 길이 복잡하다. 어찌 되었든 복잡한 길을 피해보자는 생각으로 북동쪽으로 가는데, 이건 종잡을 수 없는 도로 구조와 엄청난 경사가 발목을 잡는다. 동서남북으로 헤매면서 유료도로를 피하다 간신히 427번 국도를 따라 북상해서 롯코산 북쪽으로 간다. 아, 이 길이 아리마 온천으로 가는 기차에서 봤던 길이구나... 하면서.

Always complicate roads in Kobe area. Anyway heading to northeast to interfere the congestion, which makes me more complex. Moreover, the steep and skewed roads with tollway hit my head to the end. Drive like a snake, east to north, south to west then finally meet no. 427 road, the destination. Drive north across Mt. Rokko. Hmmm, this road is what I saw when visiting Arima Onsen area using train.

이제 어제 가던 길을 되짚어 돌아간다... 고 생각하는 아차 하는 순간 다시 헷갈리고, 이정표는 알 길이 없어 헤매고 돌다 결국 다시 171번 국도를 타고 집으로 돌아왔다. 조금은 힘든 일정이었지만, 무리하게 타지 않으려 노력한 결과 총 602키로를 주행했다. 보람이랄까, 경험이랄까... 즐거우니 피곤함도 즐기게 된다. 안타깝지만 아와지는 다시 갈 일이 있을까 하는 생각을 하게 된다.

Now meet the junction of the road which I drove yesterday... then suddenly loose that and enter the other road, which need to pay another 200 yen^^. Finally I meet no. 171 road bound for Kyoto and succeed to return. Not so tough, but do effort not too be severe, total 602 kms for two days. What a fruitful experience... forget fatigue when enjoying. Unfortunately I may not go Awaji island again because there is no ferry service.
