기억도 안나는 까마득한 어린 시절, 이 강철신 지그의 전편인 "강철 지그 (鋼鉄ジーグ)"를 보면서 무척이나 재미있어 했던 기억이 난다. 오프닝 음악은 그때보다 더 세련되고, 로봇은 좀더 채색이 강해졌지만, 엮인 기억만큼 생생하면서도 즐거운 건 없는 것 같다. 아마도 오토바이에 대한 동경은 이때 처음 생긴 게 아닐지. (둘 다 주인공이 오토바이를 타는데, 첫 작품은 오토바이를 버리고 변신하고 둘째 작품은 오토바이 자체가 변신한다.)

Far before when I was young enough to completely forgot, I truly enjoyed the Japanese animation "Kotetsu Jeeg". Opening of "Kotetsu Shin Jeeg" is more elegant and robots' colors are clearer, but the most clear and enjoyable image for me is the memories with the first series. Maybe my dreams toward motorcycle started from. (The stirring heroes of two series ride motorcycle. One in the first flies over with motorcycle power and transform to the head of robot, but one in the second transforms together with his motorcycle.)
