중국 유감 (Sorry with China)

사실 이런 주제로 글을 쓴다는 것이 참 어려운 일이다. 하지만 내가 유감을 느끼고 있는 만큼, 그걸 표현하지 않는다는 것도 어려운 일인지라 어줍잖은 글이지만 의견을 피력하고 싶은 마음이다.

Actually it is difficult to write with theme like this. But I felt sorry with China. So it is inevitable to express that feelings. Though expression is rough, I want to show an opinion toward China.

누구보다도 한국에 많은 영향을 끼쳤던 중국, 그렇게 세계사에서나 찾아볼까 싶었던 나라가 이제 마음에 와 닿는 것을 넘어서 압력과 굴욕의 이름으로 마음에 새겨지는 것은 참으로 유감스러운 일이다. 지리적으로 가깝고, 황인종이라는 특성 외에도 역사, 문화, 경제, 사회적으로 많은 것들을 생각하게 하는 나라임에도, 이렇게 유감스러운 일들이 일어나고 있고 그 배경에 무엇이 있는가 생각해보면 나와 내 나라를 위해서나 중국을 위해서도 참으로 유감스러운 일이 아닐 수 없다.

China, one of the country that had much influence on Korea, written as powerful nation in Eastern Asia in history book, is rather imprinting in my mind now as the name of pressure and dishonor, which is really disappointed with China and Chinese. Close enough from Korea, both Asians, and there are many factors with common historical, cultural and social backgrounds. But what's happening now? Who's doing and making me sorry?

입장을 바꾸어 생각해 보면, 유구한 역사의 끝자락에서 서구 열강과 일본에 의해 갖은 수모를 당한 일들을 분히 여기고 정치, 경제적으로 힘을 얻고자 하는 입장은 어렵지만 동의를 할 수 있을 듯하다. 하지만 그 목적을 이루기 위해서 자신을 부정하는 것을 넘어서 남에게 피해를 끼치고, 그것을 당연시하는 일은 올바른 길이 아닐 뿐만 아니라 결국에는 자신에게 피해가 가는 일임을 생각하지 않을 수 없다. 그렇게 살아가고 살아남는 것이 힘의 법칙임은 자명한 사실이지만, 비겁하게도 명분이라는 말을 입에 담지 않고도 악의 축보다는 권위있는 명사가 역사에 남음은 자명하기에...

In Chinese viewpoint, I can partially understand their intent, partially due to Western / Japanese insults in last 19th century. They might decide there would be no more dishonor and gaining political, economical power. But this idea must be coincided with justice. They denied even themselves for global power, damaged others and tried them as nobody. It will be harmful to all including themselves. The ruling power may make them enough living, but still needs the proper cause. The history declares that fact...

중화라는 하나의 세계를 건설하기 위하여 변방의 소리를 묵살하고, 그것도 모자라 주변국을 변방으로 취급해 버리는 그 중화사상은 결코 환영받지 못할 뿐만 아니라 내외적 비판의 대상이 될 것이다. 유약했던 과거를 어느새 잊은 듯, 세계의 공장임을 자임하면서 자기 국민을 희생시키는 국가, 풍부한 자원을 가졌음에도 수많은 인구의 의료 지원은 부족한 국가, 이 부족함을 각 개인의 쿵푸 수련으로 대체하고 있으면서 그 쿵푸를 국기처럼 내세우는 국가, 자국의 이익은 역사/정치/경제적으로 가능한 모든 방법을 동원해서 지키려 하면서 다른 나라의 이익에는 모방은 창조니 하면서 산자이(짝퉁) 문화를 조장하는 국가, 자신의 세력을 지키기 위하여 다른 나라의 희생은 아랑곳하지 않고 경제력을 바탕으로 국제기구를 좌우하는 국가... 시간이 지날수록 가관이다. 자신의 이익에 반하는 일본의 행동에는 할수 있는 걸 다 하면서, 남의 나라에서 무고한 시민이 희생되었는데 서로 참고 대국으로서 조정하는 역할을 하겠다고? 웃기는 이야기다...

China wants to be the center of the world. Then they disregard their neighbors and start to treat other countries as their outer areas. It'll never be welcomed but just be blamed to all. They might already forget their past. Many products are from China, but many Chinese are sacrificed because of. There abundant natural resources are not distributed with their people then people lean their health to daily training of Kungfu, which is strangely regarded as the national sports. They're trying to protect own profit by all possible historical / political / economical ways, but promote 'Sanjai' (fake) products of other nation's. Proclaim injustice, false ideas in UN to protect their influencing power... More awful as time goes by. When Japan did something insufficient with territorial problem, they did all they can to return Japan's activity. But how about Korean's case? Innocent civilians were dead, but China declared the calmness of countries concerned and they would control this situation as the ruling one...? Oh please...

그 끝이 있을지, 있다면 어떨지 참 보고 싶어진다. 세상은 돌고 도는 것이라고 누가 그랬던가, 그 옛날 중국의 철학자들은 참 세계를 넘나드는 지식을 가졌는데도 왜 그렇게 역사속에서 잊혀져 가야만 했는지, 그리고 그걸 되살리자고 나서는 지금의 중국에서는 왜 되살아나지 않는지, 말하지는 않지만 유감스러움을 가지고 있는 여러 다른 나라들에게 중국이 보이는 오만함은 과연 무기로, 노동력으로, 인구로 밀어붙여서 될 법한 일들인지... 되먹지않은 인권이니 뭐니 하는 이야기는 차지하더라도, 자국의 이익을 위해 물불을 안가리는 듯한 이 태도는 흡사 자신들을 침탈했던 열강의 모습과 닮아가고 있다.

Will the end come? I want to see that in my life. Who says that the world will be regenerated? Ancient Chinese philosophers got the world-class knowledge but they were disappeared in world history, and nowadays China want to revive that but look hard. Though nobody says frankly but their arrogance by weapon, numbers, and low-cost laborers will not be welcomed... Regardless of human right, it is disgusting that they pursue the benefit at any ways, looks like the situation when they were intruded by others.

역사가 사실만을 이야기해주지는 않는다. 하지만 그 결과로 우리가 지금 살아가고 있다고 할때, 그것이 무엇 때문이었는가 하는 것을 기억하고 잘한 것이면 계속 잘 하고 잘못한 것이면 바로잡는 그 단순명쾌한 논리가 왜 이 시절에는 없는 것인가... 돈에, 권력에 묻혀 보이지 않는, 마치 오물 속에 숨은 진주처럼 말이다. 돼지 목에 진주목걸이라 했던가, 어렸을 때 배웠던 미국의 청교도 정신은 지금 중국에서는 찾아볼 수 없는 일이다. 비록 내가 생쥐라 해도 방울을 달아주고 싶다.

Though history did not say truth only, but we're living on that soil. We need to remember
the righteousness must be sustained and wrong can be corrected. This clear thinking
looks not exist with them... hidden the dump of money and power. Like the necklace with
pig, the Puritans in US are not exist in China now. Even if I'm just a mouse, I want to hang
the bell to big ChinAT.
